Weddings

The Chapel has a licence to conduct weddings on the premises and we welcome any enquiries.

Being married in a Unitarian church is, or can be, very different from being married in a church of the mainstream denominations. Unitarians encourage individuality and freedom, and there is, then, the opportunity to choose the kind of ceremony which most suits your needs. No two marriages are ever quite the same and Unitarians are keen to take account of the fact that different couples have different needs. Unitarians do not believe that Christianity has the whole truth and we welcome insights from other great religions and philosophies.

Unitarians are also keen to express tolerance and we therefore recognise that marriages sometimes break down. We therefore have no difficulty in performing marriages for those who are divorced. We also perform ceremonies for other forms of relationship.
